Salary: $222,000 - $285,000

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through regular 1:1s and technical guidance.
• Own the roadmap and delivery for developer-facing infrastructure, including APIs, webhooks, and data ingestion services.
• Partner with product, design, and partnerships teams to shape the platform's technical strategy.
• Establish and maintain high standards for API design, event delivery, and integration reliability.
• Track engineering health using DORA metrics and team-level KPIs.
• Manage recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for new team members.

Requirements

• Must be local to New York City and able to work onsite 3-4 days per week.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in developer experience, API platform engineering, or developer tooling.
• Deep familiarity with API design and HTTP/event-based integration patterns (REST, webhooks, async messaging).
• Technical fluency in modern backend stacks, specifically TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven track record of building and shipping high-quality systems at scale.
