TL;DR

Category Lead (Ecommerce): Owning the strategy, growth, and P&L for a major category on a live shopping platform with an accent on cross-functional leadership across Sales, Marketing, and Product. Focus on scaling communities, driving GMV, and solving complex market challenges in a high-growth, ambiguous environment.

Location: Must be based in the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, or Australia

Salary: $167,000 – $215,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for a high-growth category to ensure sustainable scaling.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across Account Management, Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships to drive seller onboarding and community growth.
  • Own key business metrics including GMV and buyer/seller retention.
  • Identify and ship product solutions in collaboration with Engineering and Operations to step-change growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with top sellers and buyers to ensure the platform meets community needs.
  • Coach and develop team members to deeply understand the business and product landscape.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in fast-paced, client-facing roles such as Strategy Consulting, Private Equity, or tech partnerships.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data to drive business insights.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to frame insights for diverse audiences.
  • Must be based in the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, or Australia.
  • Fluency with AI tools to sharpen problem-solving and execution.

Nice to have

  • Experience working on a marketplace or two-sided platform.
  • Passion for buying and selling in online marketplace communities.
  • Proficiency with SQL and dashboarding tools.
