Field Service Technician I (Water Quality)

Location: Seattle area and Portland, Oregon, United States; daily travel to customer sites with up to 75% overnight stays

Salary: $29.00–$31.00 USD per hour, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration or verification of hirify.global instrumentation.
• Provide on-site technical support and serve as the customer contact for service-related issues.
• Service equipment at municipal and industrial facilities, including drinking-water and wastewater plants, power plants, refineries, chemical manufacturers, and food and beverage facilities.
• Prepare accurate service reports covering billing, inventory, instrument history, and failures.
• Follow safety procedures and complete administrative activities supporting service visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate or technical degree is preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is required; preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics or repair experience is helpful.
• Previous travel-based field service or customer-facing experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent vehicles and hotel rooms under applicable state law are required.
• Ability to travel daily to customer sites and stay overnight up to 75% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with preventative maintenance, technical diagnostics, and equipment repair.
• Experience working in municipal or industrial water-treatment environments.
