Field Service Engineer (Analytical Instrumentation)

Location: US-NJ-Remote Location; territory coverage includes New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The role requires on-site customer service, extensive travel, and residence in Central to Northern New Jersey is preferred. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $36.38–$56.84 per hour, plus bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, configure, optimize, maintain, repair, and calibrate laboratory hardware, software, networks, and analytical instruments at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems, proactively addressing equipment issues to prevent business interruptions.
• Provide limited application support and advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations.
• Deliver coordinated solutions involving peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
• Train field engineers and customers and provide technical seminars or workshops.
• Collaborate with Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to resolve customer concerns and qualify leads.

Requirements

• Residence in Central to Northern New Jersey is preferred; no relocation is offered.
• Valid driver's license required; up to 50% travel may be required, with extensive overnight travel based on business needs.
• Bachelor's, master's, or other university degree in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, life sciences, or equivalent education, training, and significant experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including familiarity with hirify.global and Waters analytical instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography is required; familiarity with hand tools and logical troubleshooting is expected.
• Customer-service orientation and the ability to solve high-impact product availability and system or solution problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with dissolution or spectroscopy.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical, GMP, or GLP environments.
• Experience with hirify.global solutions and third-party products.
