Field Service Technician - Laboratory Products

Location: Albany, New York, United States; field-based work with on-site customer support, overnight travel typically up to 25%–50%, and occasional remote support.

Salary: $30–$33 per hour

What you will do

• Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory instruments.
• Diagnose issues independently and escalate complex problems when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service, timekeeping, inventory, parts, and tool records.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on equipment use, care, and optimization.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams while supporting service and product sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or five years of relevant experience.
• One to three years of mechanical or technical experience using hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency with PCs, smartphones, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in industrial and laboratory environments with potential exposure to chemicals, machinery, and moderate noise.
• Overtime is typically 10%–15%, with occasional increases up to 25%; the safety-sensitive role is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
