Field Service Technician (Industrial Weighing)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; must reside within the service territory and work at customer sites

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on industrial floor and bench scales at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support equipment installations, projects, and repairs.
• Train end users on correct equipment operation and care.
• Document service activities, update service records, and maintain data integrity using a company laptop and service software.
• Coordinate with scheduling, service support, sales, and other technicians to meet customer uptime and response-time expectations.
• Maintain the company vehicle and parts inventory, identify service or product needs, and follow safety and quality policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and high school diploma/GED, or five years of relevant work experience.
• One to three years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience; customer-facing or field service experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repairs, PC networking, software configuration, Microsoft Office, and proprietary service software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Weights and Measures license and a Class B CDL.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 10% on average, potentially up to 25%, and work overtime averaging 10–15%.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, perform regular bending and kneeling, work around workplace hazards, wear protective equipment, and pass drug testing for this safety-sensitive role.
