Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics)

Location: Fully remote, covering a service territory around Lexington, High Point, Salisbury, and surrounding areas in North Carolina. Must reside within the territory or be willing to relocate.

Salary: $35.00–$37.00 per hour, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, validate, modify, maintain, and repair Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment.
• Provide efficient technical service and product training to customers.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal records, order repair parts, and meet service cycle times.
• Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service-call planning and team coordination.
• Communicate with internal and external customers and support training for newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, preferably in technical, biomedical engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel by air and/or vehicle up to 85%, including overnight stays and primarily domestic Monday–Friday travel.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, crouching, reaching, standing, and other physical activities.

Nice to have

• Technical college major in biomedical engineering, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, or service repairs.
• Experience developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and improving customer satisfaction.
