Field Service Engineer (Analytical Instrumentation)

Location: US-NJ-Remote Location; ideal candidate resides in Central to Northern New Jersey. Territory coverage includes New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The role requires extensive travel, including overnight travel, with up to 50% travel.

Salary: $36.38–$56.84 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install and optimize laboratory hardware, software, network products, peripherals, operating systems, and application configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and calibrate equipment when required.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that affect product performance and availability.
• Deliver coordinated technical solutions and provide limited application support.
• Train field engineers and customers and lead technical customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to resolve customer issues and prevent business interruptions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent education and experience in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or another life science field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with hirify.global and Waters analytical instrumentation; specific liquid chromatography experience is required.
• Logical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with hand tools, and a customer- and solutions-oriented approach.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical, GMP, or GLP environments is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel and up to 50% travel may be required.
• No relocation is offered for this position.
