TL;DR

HR Generalist (HR Operations): Providing day-to-day support for core tactical HR activities, processes, and programs with an accent on compliance, employee relations, and benefits administration. Focus on managing complex leave cases (FMLA, ADA), conducting employee investigations, and improving engagement within a global localization environment.

Location: Hybrid (must be based in Waltham, MA; onsite at least 4 days per week)

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Manage employee relations, resolve conflicts, and conduct formal investigations to provide final recommendations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Administer benefits and leave cases, including FMLA, ADA, PFML, STD, LTD, and parental leave.
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process and implement employee engagement programs.
  • Provide onsite HR administrative support and guide staff and management on HR policies.
  • Support performance management processes and assist in delivering training materials and workshops.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of professional experience in human resources.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Waltham, MA (at least 4 days/week).
  • Knowledge of US employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, EEO) with multi-state experience.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.

Nice to have

  • SHRM or PHR certifications.
