TL;DR

Sr. Benefits Specialist (HR Operations): Overseeing comprehensive benefits and Leave of Absence (LOA) programs with an accent on plan administration, compliance auditing, and multi-state regulations. Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, WA. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).

Salary: $87,930–$108,160 USD Annually

What you will do

  • Administer a comprehensive benefits portfolio including medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end Leave of Absence (LOA) programs including FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated leaves.
  • Lead the benefits onboarding experience and serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and claims resolution.
  • Perform monthly premium reconciliations and partner with Payroll to maintain accurate HRIS data.
  • Lead annual benefit audits, non-discrimination testing, and the preparation of Form 5500s.
  • Manage equity administration for new hires and terminations using Carta.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of dedicated benefits administration and LOA management experience.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for benefits administration and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and state-paid family leave laws.
  • Experience managing benefits compliance for a diverse, multi-state workforce.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, CLMS, PHR, or SHRM-CP.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, pivot tables, and audit reconciliation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment.
