Salary: $405,000 - $485,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, owning the roadmap, OKRs, and overall execution.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with ML Infra, Research, Product, Policy, and Legal teams.
• Establish the quality bar for shipping interventions based on measurement and represent tradeoffs to leadership.
• Own production reliability for intervention and compliance systems, including incident response and SLOs.
• Develop verification processes to prevent the recurrence of production incidents.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams shipping production ML or safety-enforcement systems.
• Proven track record of running high-stakes, compliance-adjacent production systems.
• Strong commitment to measurement and using evaluations to prove system efficacy.
• Ability to drive decisions regarding ambiguous multi-stakeholder tradeoffs (safety vs UX vs latency vs cost).
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in trust & safety, integrity, or abuse-prevention engineering at scale.
• Knowledge of compliance-driven systems such as child safety, copyright, or age assurance.
• Experience shipping systems across multiple cloud providers.
