What you will do
- Partner with the CTO and CEO to define engineering strategy, architecture, and execution plans.
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering a strong engineering culture.
- Own the delivery of the engineering roadmap, ensuring high-quality and timely project shipping.
- Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, reliability, security, and incident response.
- Build cross-functional operating rhythms to ensure alignment and excellent user experience.
- Implement systems for engineering effectiveness, including planning, on-call, and technical debt management.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience operating production systems.
- Experience translating product goals into clear technical plans and execution strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead through ambiguity.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Early-stage startup experience.
- Experience with Go, gRPC, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, AWS, or Terraform.
- Experience building AI-enabled product features.
