What you will do

• Partner with the CTO and CEO to define engineering strategy, architecture, and execution plans.
• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Own the delivery of the engineering roadmap, ensuring high-quality and timely project shipping.
• Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, reliability, security, and incident response.
• Build cross-functional operating rhythms to ensure alignment and excellent user experience.
• Implement systems for engineering effectiveness, including planning, on-call, and technical debt management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in a leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience operating production systems.
• Experience translating product goals into clear technical plans and execution strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead through ambiguity.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Early-stage startup experience.
• Experience with Go, gRPC, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, AWS, or Terraform.
• Experience building AI-enabled product features.
