What you will do
- Manage end-to-end mechanical development processes for ADAS sensors (Radar, Camera) and ECUs from requirements to production.
- Own mechanical design deliverables, specifically focusing on structural, thermal, and enclosure designs.
- Lead technical decision-making and identify risks to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for suppliers and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams for system integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
- Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals including thermodynamics, molding, stamping, and diecasting.
- Business-level English and Japanese communication skills (N1 equivalent or above).
Nice to have
- Experience in automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, or medical device industries.
- Hands-on experience with CAE tools (FEA, CFD, etc.).
- Knowledge of design methodologies such as FMEA, DRBFM, and FTA.
- Experience working in global or cross-cultural teams.
