What you will do
- Design and industrialize automotive camera, monitor, and display systems such as rear-view, side-view, surround-view, and instrument-cluster displays.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and optical engineering teams to integrate imaging hardware.
- Develop and validate CAD models and drawings, perform tolerance analyses and DFMEA, and lead design reviews.
- Resolve mechanical challenges involving thermal dissipation, vibration, sealing and IP ratings, and optical alignment.
- Work with suppliers and customers on component development, tooling, validation, and automotive quality compliance.
- Support technical reviews, environmental and durability testing, and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent proven expertise.
- 7+ years of experience in automotive mechanical design, hands-on development, and integration.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or Inventor.
- Strong knowledge of materials, thermal management, sealing, and mounting systems.
- Experience with automotive standards and validation procedures, including IATF 16949 and ISO 26262.
- Knowledge of mechatronic product development, thermal simulation, mechanical FEA, optical alignment, and automotive communication protocols such as LVDS, Ethernet, and CAN.
