TL;DR

File Handler Tactical Litigated Credit Hire (Legal): Investigating and managing complex litigated credit hire claims to protect client interests with an accent on tactical analysis and strategic repudiation. Focus on drafting legal documents, conducting telephone negotiations, and managing the court process from litigation to hearing.

Location: Hybrid (Bolton, UK). Must be based in the UK and able to attend the office 1 day per week.

What you will do

  • Conduct complex technical investigations on litigated credit hire claims with values up to £25,000.
  • Formulate and execute initial litigation strategies under the supervision of a Team Leader.
  • Manage a caseload of RTA and injury files from the point of litigation through to court hearings.
  • Draft key legal documents including defences, direction questionnaires, and CPR Part 18/35 questions.
  • Conduct telephone negotiations with third-party solicitors and coordinate with insured parties and insurers.
  • Maintain compliance with SRA Standards, Regulations, and ISO 9001 guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in litigation and handling credit hire files with a track record of managing a personal caseload.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent; a degree or LPC is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the court process and handling RTA claims.
  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience using Case Management Systems.
  • Ability to work from the Bolton office on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

  • Experience in handling Personal Injury (PI) claims.
