Area Manager (Logistics)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, United States; three months of onboarding and training at the Des Plaines, Illinois site before transition

Salary: $64,800–$81,000 USD base salary per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Launch and operate a fulfillment-center area while coaching, managing, and developing a team of 30–100 associates.
• Communicate policies, maintain compliance and consistency, manage recognition programs, and take corrective action when needed.
• Support safety, OSHA compliance, building security, and product loss-prevention programs.
• Own performance reporting for receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, packing quality, defect rates, and SLA performance.
• Facilitate troubleshooting, escalate operational risks, identify root causes, and resolve fulfillment and inventory problems.
• Document best practices in SOPs and work with Growth and Engineering teams to address systemic issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing teams of 5 or more, preferably in warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or logistics management.
• Experience with process improvement, problem solving, data analysis, performance reporting, and SQL.
• Strong communication, presentation, prioritization, interpersonal, collaboration, and computer literacy skills, including Google Sheets or Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Ability to work in variable noise and temperatures, occasionally above 90°F, and on a secure mezzanine up to 40 feet high where applicable.
• Willingness and ability to work any permanent shift, including overnight shifts, holidays, and possible weekend overlap.
