TL;DR
Competitive Intelligence Lead (AI): Operationalizing and scaling the competitive intelligence function to inform product strategy, GTM execution, and executive decision-making. Focus on synthesizing complex market signals, competitor movements, and product data into actionable strategic narratives and executive-ready insights.
Location: Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City
Salary: $293,000 – $325,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Translate CI strategy into repeatable analyses, operating rhythms, and executive materials.
- Own high-priority competitor deep dives, pricing analyses, and strategic risk assessments.
- Develop competitive messaging, battlecards, and enablement content for Sales and Marketing.
- Monitor competitor product launches, funding, and GTM motions to identify market shifts.
- Partner with Product Management to identify differentiation opportunities and competitive gaps.
- Prepare executive-ready briefs and contribute to board-level market analyses.
Requirements
- 8-12+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product strategy, or strategy consulting.
- Strong understanding of AI platforms, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex markets into clear frameworks.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through evidence-based narratives.
- Experience operating in high-growth technology environments.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience in machine learning or foundation models.
- Background in management consulting or product marketing.
- Familiarity with win/loss programs and competitive positioning frameworks.
- Experience building dashboards and reporting systems for competitive intelligence.
