TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the United States

Salary: $195,000–$280,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the Vendor Legal team while maintaining a personal deal portfolio.
  • Negotiate and draft a wide range of agreements including SaaS, cloud services, data platforms, and payment processing contracts.
  • Design and implement scalable legal playbooks, templates, and negotiation guides to reduce cycle times.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance to procurement, engineering, product, and finance teams.
  • Develop training resources to empower business partners to self-serve on routine legal matters.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying friction points and building efficient, automated legal workflows.

Requirements

  • JD and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 8+ years of transactional experience in-house at a tech company or top law firm.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regimes (CCPA, GDPR, GLBA, etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not available).

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting global or multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Track record of building legal operations tools in high-growth environments.
