TL;DR

Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP): Leading the HRBP function and designing scalable people programs to support high-performing R&D teams with an accent on performance management, employee relations, and data-driven organizational development. Focus on building a high-impact HR team, coaching leadership, and aligning employee experience with business performance.

Location: Must be based in New York City, NY (Hybrid: 3 days per week in-office required).

Salary: $225,000–$250,000

What you will do

  • Oversee performance management cycles, succession planning, and career development strategies.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Serve as the primary People Partner to managers, providing coaching on performance and organizational design.
  • Analyze HR metrics to propose data-driven solutions for retention and productivity.
  • Diagnose drivers of team health and attrition to support leadership.
  • Champion company culture and lead the HRBP team.

Requirements

  • Must be based in New York City and able to work in-office 3 days per week.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading an HRBP function.
  • Proven experience in both startup and mature company environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets.
  • Ability to manage strategic and operational work streams simultaneously.
  • Deep belief in aligning employee experience with business performance.
