Mobile Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Tampa, Florida, USA; regular travel between assigned properties is required.

Salary: $28.05–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across assigned commercial properties.
• Service chillers, boilers, heaters, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV systems, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment adjustments, energy management, and general property repairs.
• Inspect fire and life-safety systems, emergency exits, generators, fire pumps, electric rooms, and related equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns, including fire, evacuation, and equipment failures.
• Document completed work and report activities to the supervisor while following applicable codes and safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship or trade school is preferred.
• Relevant trade licenses or permits may be required, including electrician, refrigeration, boiler, or steam operator credentials.
• Universal CFC technician certification may be required depending on local licensing requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word, and knowledge of building systems operations.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, stoop, work across properties, and perform emergency or on-call duties.
