Mobile Building Engineer

TL;DR

Mobile Building Engineer (HVAC/MEP): Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned properties with an accent on preventive and corrective maintenance, energy management monitoring, and emergency response. What you will do

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements for assigned buildings.
• Maintain and monitor heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and related controls (valves, thermostats, gauges, diffusers, distributor panels).
• Conduct preventive maintenance per C&W standards, building protocol, manufacturer recommendations, and industry best practices (filters, coils, condensers, lubrication, inspections, scheduled routines).
• Inspect engine room/fan room equipment, motors, pumps, backup generator, fire pumps, sump pumps, and perform repairs/replace fixtures and signage.
• Respond to emergencies, perform fire and life safety inspections (including NFPA/local requirements), and document/report activities to a supervisor.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate trade license/permit as required (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician or market-specific refrigeration/boiler/steam certifications).
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record (where applicable).
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance, and repair; experience with HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
• Ability to work extended periods during priority/emergency situations, including shift work and/or on-call duties.
