Building Engineer - Data Center

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite work supporting a multi-building campus.

Salary: $55–$60 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Operate and inspect HVAC, commercial chillers, plumbing, fire alarms, and related building systems.
• Maintain energy management and preventive maintenance programs to improve efficiency and equipment lifespan.
• Perform emergency repairs and ensure systems meet applicable codes, regulations, and design requirements.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge, mentor colleagues, and support collaboration across fields.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal EPA/CFC certification and any licenses required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Ability to perform physical duties including climbing, standing, walking, and lifting loads of 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to analyze multiple information sources, solve complex problems, and perform sophisticated calculations.
• Microsoft Office skills and CMMS experience are preferred.
