Maintenance Engineer (HVAC)

Location: On-site in Laguna Hills, California, United States

Salary: $32.00–$40.00 per hour, plus an annual bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Perform emergency, preventive, and corrective maintenance for medical office buildings.
• Maintain and repair building automation, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, and emergency generation systems.
• Complete assigned repairs, building upkeep duties, work orders, and maintenance records.
• Use a computer, smartphone, email, and a work order management system.
• Read blueprints and coordinate multiple maintenance activities in a timely manner.

Requirements

• At least five years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Thorough understanding of building automation systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, packaged rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches, and life safety systems.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and the ability to use computer and smartphone systems for work orders and email.
• Strong organization, verbal communication, written communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladders.
• Self-sufficient, flexible, ownership-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Professional licensure or trade certification.
