Director, System Engineering & Integration

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite role

Annual salary: $178,500–$331,500, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead global engineering teams responsible for system integration and validation.
• Define end-to-end integration architecture and strategy across ASIC, hardware, firmware, FPGA, drivers, operating systems, and software.
• Own system bring-up, integration readiness, validation, verification, performance testing, and stress testing.
• Establish scalable validation infrastructure, automation frameworks, test environments, and reusable system-level methodologies.
• Drive resolution of complex cross-layer issues and root causes across hardware, firmware, network, and software.
• Ensure system readiness, performance, reliability, and predictable delivery through production release.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience with a BS degree, 10+ years with an MS degree, or 8+ years with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep system engineering expertise spanning silicon, hardware, firmware, drivers, operating systems, and software.
• Experience integrating complex multi-interface systems and large computing rack architectures.
• Proven system-level debugging and complex issue root-cause resolution skills.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Expertise with interconnect technologies including Ethernet, RoCE/UEC, DDRx, and PCIe.

Nice to have

• Experience with InfiniBand, distributed Ethernet networks, and PCIe communication infrastructure.
• Full-spectrum Linux knowledge across kernel and user space in server and embedded systems, including system administration.
• Experience with highly available and scalable distributed computing.
• Knowledge of system virtualization, containerization, and real-world applications.
• Master’s or another advanced degree in a related field.
