Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for US government agencies with an accent on NIST RMF compliance and automated security gating. Focus on integrating SAST/DAST tools, hardening AWS EKS environments, and driving the path toward Authority to Operate (ATO).

Location: Fully Remote. Must be a United States citizen and operate within the Eastern time zone.

Salary: $106,300–$136,000

What you will do

• Implement secure engineering patterns and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security gates including SAST, SCA, and DAST.
• Secure AWS EKS environments focusing on image hardening, network policies, workload identity, and least-privilege access.
• Drive the transition toward ATO and near-real-time compliance using the NIST RMF framework.
• Translate security vulnerabilities into actionable engineering items in Jira and support remediation efforts.
• Monitor production runtime environments for vulnerabilities and compliance drift using AWS tools.
• Collaborate within an integrated Agile product team to deliver continuous improvements to security standards.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of IT experience, or 8 years of relevant IT experience.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments (EKS, S3, VPC, Security Hub, Inspector, WAF, Secrets Manager).
• Proven experience building secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security testing and release gates.
• Deep understanding of federal security frameworks such as NIST RMF and the ATO process.
• Experience working within a fully integrated Agile product team.
