Specialist Software Engineering (AWS)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in office at a U.S. hub location: Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Denver, CO. Relocation assistance is not provided. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $131,000–$165,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead complex architectural analysis and translate architectural guidance into detailed technical designs.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and document enterprise solutions using web and cloud technologies.
• Define organization-wide development standards, processes, and technical guidelines.
• Lead design sessions, development meetings, presentations, and technical committees or projects.
• Collaborate with software engineers, contract and offshore developers, and business product owners in an agile environment.
• Provide technology leadership and subject-matter expertise across applications, platforms, frameworks, and APIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering and DevOps engineering experience.
• Strong experience with CI/CD platforms, pipeline-as-code, shared templates, and reusable workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting, AWS services, Docker, container registries, orchestration, and infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Experience with security scanning and remediation workflows, repository management, build and deployment tools, databases, microservices, REST APIs, and integration frameworks.
• Ability to communicate technical information, solve complex problems, prioritize work under tight deadlines, and collaborate independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• AWS or other technology and platform certifications.
• Extensive experience with Nexus, Harness, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
