Location: Hybrid; must be based near offices in Hamburg, Rostock (Germany), Sarriguren, or Madrid (Spain). Up to 8 days of mobile work per month allowed.

What you will do

• Define and execute the reliability engineering strategy for the onshore wind turbine fleet.
• Establish Design for Reliability (DfR) principles across new products and upgrades.
• Act as the technical authority for critical components, including drivetrains, blades, and electrical systems.
• Lead design improvements to eliminate recurring failures and increase fleet reliability.
• Establish a structured feedback loop between field operations and engineering teams.
• Apply predictive maintenance and advanced condition monitoring solutions to turbine development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable.
• 10+ years of experience in offshore wind energy focusing on reliability-related engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in structural analysis and failure reduction methodologies.
• Proven experience with complex wind turbine systems and critical component reliability.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring systems and predictive maintenance.
• Excellent command of Business English (C1).
