Stress Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Sizing structural parts and installations made from metal and carbon fiber using FEM and classic handbook methods.
• Performing trade-off analysis for design solutions and structural concepts.
• Analyzing mechanical systems and equipment integration.
• Preparing analysis reports and statements to support airframe qualification.
• Assessing damages and developing repairs for in-service aircraft.
• Evaluating concessions and nonconformities to support manufacturing and assembly lines.

Requirements

• Master's or Diploma degree in Aerospace or an equivalent field.
• Fluency in English and German (at least business fluent).
• Several years of professional experience in aircraft structural analysis.
• Mandatory knowledge of standard stress analysis methods (e.g., HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, Roark & Young).
• Solid experience with specific stress analysis and FEM tools such as Nastran and Hyperworks.
• EU citizenship or valid eligibility for a German work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience in stress analysis of pipe works.
• Experience with impact simulations.
