Finance Manager (Mortgage/Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in New York, NY or Palo Alto, CA

Salary: $200,000 – $230,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own end-to-end accounting operations including AP/AR, GL accrual accounting, and vendor mapping.
• Manage loan-level accounting from lock to settlement, including funding reconciliations and gain-on-sale analysis.
• Design and document internal controls for SOC 1 Type II reporting and audit readiness.
• Build state-level and loan-level production metrics using AI-native reporting tools.
• Identify manual processes and implement automation across the GL, LOS, and warehouse funding systems.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in operational mortgage or structured credit.
• Deep command of FASB codification (ASC 310/320/860, ASC 820/825, ASC 815, CECL).
• Proven track record of owning financial closes, audits, or system implementations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Builder's temperament with comfort in ambiguity and a desire to automate manual workflows.
