TL;DR

Account Director (Enterprise Software): Drive the overall Sales strategy for a designated US territory by securing net new business and expanding existing accounts with upselling and cross-selling, with an accent on strategic account planning, pipeline ownership, and accurate CRM forecasting. Focus on leading and supporting Account Executives, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering RFP responses while meeting annual sales targets.

Location: Remote Based - US (Maryland, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

What you will do

  • Manage and grow key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Research, develop, and secure net new business while maintaining and expanding revenue through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve quarterly/annual sales targets.
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline, maintaining accurate and up-to-date forecast opportunities and records in the CRM.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers and develop high-value proposals aligned to customer outcomes.
  • Lead and contribute to RFP responses and provide leadership, guidance, and support to Account Executives.

Requirements

  • Territory coverage: must cover Maryland, Connecticut, and the states of New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Rhode Island
  • 5+ years of sales experience with enterprise software.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing/growing key accounts.
  • Experience qualifying new opportunities and accurately forecasting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with cross-functional collaboration ability.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools; ability to travel in excess of 50%.
