What you will do

• Design and develop platforms for network automation, including config generation, device provisioning, and internal APIs.
• Lead technical direction through RFCs, design reviews, and architecture decisions for complex infrastructure projects.
• Write high-quality, well-tested software in Python and Go while setting standards for CI/CD and error handling.
• Improve system reliability by defining service-level indicators and objectives.
• Partner with Network Engineering, Observability, and HPC teams to integrate automation into the wider cloud ecosystem.
• Mentor engineers and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in infrastructure or backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Go.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, switching, DNS).
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. government regulations.
• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation tools like Ansible.
• Strong planning skills with the ability to drive multi-month projects across teams.
