What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop the mission-critical network data plane platform for Confluent Cloud.
• Drive technical initiatives in networking, cloud infrastructure, and multi-tenancy to impact business growth.
• Technically lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality production software.
• Contribute to open-source software and engage with upstream communities for business impact.
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex technical stacks spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or cloud networking.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages.
• Experience building and managing Layer 7 proxies, specifically cloud-native proxies like Envoy.
• Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must have the ability to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Open source contributions to CNCF projects.
• Experience with Kubernetes Networking.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
