Salary: $139,000–$204,000

What you will do

• Lead efforts to scale metrics and storage systems to meet the needs of advanced customers.
• Set technical direction, balancing near-term deliverables with long-term architectural improvements.
• Partner with product, revenue, and engineering teams to evolve the platform and meet customer demands.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices across the organization.
• Optimize data ingestion, storage, and querying for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness at petabyte scale.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data platforms and/or distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and scaling customer-facing APIs in production, ideally leveraging systems such as MySQL, Postgres, Clickhouse, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, or Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to export control compliance.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering technical growth.
• Background in high-scale metrics, logging, or analytics systems.
• Familiarity with designing cost-optimized storage and query infrastructure.
