Location: Must be based in Warren, Michigan. This role is hybrid and requires reporting to the office at least 3 times a week.

What you will do
- Lead strategic initiatives in material development for fuels, fluids, and lubricants.
- Oversee complex research and development projects to ensure timely execution.
- Provide expert guidance on material selection, testing, and performance analysis.
- Implement robust quality control processes to meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with high autonomy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Nice to have
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
- DFSS Black Belt Certification.
- Understanding of API, dexos, dexron, and dexcool approval processes.
