What you will do

• Lead research efforts for nanoparticle formulation, analytical characterization, and functional evaluation within the Genetic Medicines Technology group.
• Discover and optimize novel lipid applications for LNP-mediated delivery of nucleic acid payloads.
• Co-lead screening efforts in vitro and in vivo to identify optimal LNP formulations for tissue and cell delivery.
• Collaborate across diverse functions including cell therapy, vector engineering, pharmacology, and translational biology.
• Advance platform development for in vivo therapeutic applications from concept through clinical validation.
• Analyze complex datasets and present findings in governance forums and cross-functional reviews.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemistry, engineering, bioengineering, nanotechnology, material science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant industry and academic experience.
• Proven expertise in nanoparticle science, specifically LNP delivery systems and non-viral gene transfer.
• Experience successfully advancing a candidate to IND-enabling studies.
• Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical tools like JMP.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Background in DNA delivery, nucleic acids chemistry, or molecular biology.
• Experience with targeted siRNAs, liposomes, or ADCs.
• Knowledge of immunology and T cell biology.
