Systems Engineer (Go)

Location: Austin, United States; hybrid/in-office work required

What you will do

• Design and implement key features for internal data applications.
• Build data application tools and frameworks that empower internal teams.
• Work with data engineers to add features and maintain Go-based data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for critical business problems.
• Improve platform architecture for scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Share knowledge and provide mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or another quantitative field.
• Experience with Go, Python, Java, or equivalent programming languages.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitLab CI.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and work through ambiguous business requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or a similar cloud platform.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
