Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid position in Lambda’s San Francisco office; in-office presence required 4 days per week, with Tuesday designated as the work-from-home day.

Salary: $380,000–$445,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Design and build reporting interfaces and data feeds for downstream financial systems.
• Develop billing and pricing products using Go and Python.
• Translate technical design requirements and product requirements into consumer software products.
• Improve software quality through code reviews, testing, rollouts, monitoring, and proactive changes.
• Establish continuous integration and deployment best practices, including rollback processes.
• Track KPIs, revenue impact, response times, and latency to recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation.
• At least 1 year of experience with Python, Go, SQL, Hive, Presto, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Experience with VIM, Git, and shell scripting.
• Experience building highly scalable, performant solutions and applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to production systems.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency, and availability guarantees.
