What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of privacy legal professionals.
• Provide expert legal advice on privacy and data protection compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA) to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Negotiate privacy and data protection terms in customer and vendor agreements.
• Support the investigation and response to potential privacy incidents.
• Develop and maintain global privacy policies, standards, and audit frameworks.
• Manage outside counsel relationships, strategy, and budgets.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years specializing in privacy and data protection.
• Active bar admission and a J.D. from a highly-regarded law school.
• Proven track record of managing and overseeing a legal team.
• Strong knowledge of privacy frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, FedRAMP, and PCI-DSS.
• Experience working in a SaaS technology company, preferably with highly-regulated financial services customers.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, business-oriented guidance.
