Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)
Salary: $225,000 - $250,000 USD + 25% Bonus

What you will do
- Lead all legal operations as the sole in-house counsel, reporting directly to the CFO.
- Manage federal procurement and government contracting, including FAR, DFARS, and SBIR Phase III awards.
- Negotiate and draft SaaS agreements, EULAs, MSAs, and vendor contracts across federal and commercial lines.
- Oversee privacy and regulatory compliance, including GDPR and US state privacy laws.
- Handle corporate governance, board meetings, and develop risk management strategies to support growth.
- Engage and manage outside counsel for specialized matters such as funding rounds and M&A.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 7 to 10 years of law practice experience combining law firm and in-house roles.
- Meaningful government contracts experience supporting software sales into DoW and federal civilian agencies.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government data rights.
- Significant experience negotiating and drafting SaaS and technology transactions.
- Working knowledge of GDPR and US state privacy laws.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, DoW impact levels, and CMMC.
- Experience in lobbying, government affairs, and managing Lobbying Disclosure Act compliance.
