Group Head of AI

Location: Hybrid; Warren, New Jersey, or New York, New York, United States

Salary: $250,000–$310,000 annually

What you will do

• Define and lead the enterprise AI strategy, roadmap, and priorities in alignment with business objectives.
• Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across underwriting, pricing, claims, and operations based on ROI and competitive advantage.
• Build an AI organization by attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent.
• Partner with technology and data teams to define requirements, infrastructure needs, and delivery plans for AI capabilities.
• Embed AI insights into underwriting, claims, and actuarial decision-making while measuring business impact and driving improvement.
• Align AI initiatives with risk, compliance, regulatory, and model-transparency requirements and evaluate emerging technologies and vendors.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of leadership experience in strategy transformation, technology, analytics, or AI-related functions.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, automation, and data-driven operating models.
• Technical fluency in AI infrastructure and enabling technologies, with the ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution.
• Experience collaborating with insurance segment and product leadership, technology, and operations teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or mathematics; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience leading enterprise initiatives in reinsurance, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
