TL;DR

Senior Account Executive (Government Sales): Generating revenue by representing the Enterprise Solution team for government accounts with an accent on developing relationships with military installations and federal agencies. Focus on managing account retention, growth, and aligning complex standard solutions with agency objectives.

Location: Remote (USA). Preference for candidates residing in the Southeast region of the United States. Occasional travel to Staples, MN is required (approx. 12 times per year).

Salary: $99,200 – $124,000 per year

What you will do

  • Manage and develop key agency relationships to achieve profit and margin goals.
  • Implement relationship management plans to identify and engage decision-makers and influencers.
  • Analyze agency needs and present complex standard solutions with clear alignment to their objectives.
  • Identify potential new accounts through research, referrals, and event participation.
  • Maintain high-quality client data within the CRM system to support retention and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure effective communication and resolution of agency issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (minimum 4 years).
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience within military installations (purchasing, administration, or related).
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or strategic account management specifically for military clients.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements (approx. 12 times per year).

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of U.S. military service.
  • Previous experience with U.S. Navy or Marine Corps installation management.
  • Knowledge of Intergovernmental Support Agreements (IGSAs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
  • Understanding of Department of War (DoW) budgets and funding allocation.
  • Awareness of emerging military installation priorities such as energy resilience and smart infrastructure.
