What you will do

• Architect and own core risk and onboarding platform services, including real-time decisioning engines and identity orchestration systems.
• Set the technical vision for cross-product compliance platforms to support diverse regulatory requirements across global geographies.
• Define and deliver a technical roadmap for risk and access control infrastructure incorporating Zero Trust and RBAC principles.
• Collaborate with data science teams to operationalize machine learning models for fraud detection and risk scoring.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering by embedding tools like Claude into design, testing, and debugging workflows.
• Mentor risk team engineers to raise the overall standard for system design, code quality, and security thinking.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, specifically building risk, fraud, identity, or security platform systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in Java or comparable JVM languages and designing high-availability, low-latency distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience implementing access control systems (RBAC, PAM) in large-scale SaaS or cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency in deploying and securing applications in AWS, including IAM policies and infrastructure hardening.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time streaming architectures such as Kafka and observability tools like Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
• Background in integrating ML models into production fraud pipelines, including feature engineering and monitoring.
• Familiarity with financial compliance frameworks such as KYC/KYB, BSA/AML, or transaction monitoring.
