What you will do

• Design, implement, and own data-intensive, high-performance, and scalable platform components.
• Build foundational infrastructure to support streaming analytics and ML platforms.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional partners on project design and implementation.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning.
• Coach and mentor engineers to help scale the engineering organization.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Java.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems (Kinesis, Kafka) and data processing systems (Flink, Spark, Beam).
• Experience with storage and compute systems such as Snowflake or Hadoop.
• Proficiency with coordinators and schedulers (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of multithreading, garbage collection, and memory management.
• Must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining security, encryption, or identity management infrastructure.
• Experience building mission-critical services using major public cloud providers (AWS).
• Hands-on experience with petabyte-scale data integration in both batch and online systems.
• Contributions to distributed systems like Kafka or Hadoop.
