Senior Consultant Energy - Pricing & Sourcing

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hybrid work from home, the client, or the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Advise energy suppliers and trading organizations on sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management.
• Improve the financial results of sales and sourcing departments.
• Define organizational improvements and support vendor selection for relevant IT systems.
• Contribute to investment decisions, business process improvements, and new commercial activities.
• Combine business analysis, project management, and stakeholder management to deliver client solutions.
• Contribute to Energy team strategy, business development, recruitment, knowledge sharing, and training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with strong analytical training.
• At least four years of consulting experience and relevant commercial energy-sector experience.
• Practical knowledge of energy sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management.
• Ability to identify problems and trends, solve complex problems, and align stakeholders across an organization.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics, with the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas.
• English and Dutch communication and presentation skills are required; non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• French or German communication skills.
• Previous consulting experience with an energy supplier or trading organization.
