TL;DR
Marketplace Strategic Growth Manager (Ecommerce): Driving the growth and commercial performance of marketplace categories by acquiring and managing third-party sellers with an accent on commercial strategy and category optimization. Focus on delivering GMV targets, building strategic partnerships with external brands, and managing the end-to-end seller lifecycle.
Location: Hybrid: Must spend 60% of the week collaborating at office locations in Welwyn Garden City

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end seller lifecycle within assigned categories, including identification, acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
- Deliver against GMV and commercial targets by building and managing a robust pipeline of growth opportunities.
- Partner with sellers to optimize product range, merchandising, pricing, and promotional activity.
- Develop joint business plans and negotiate commercial agreements to drive long-term growth.
- Utilize customer, market, and performance insights to diagnose issues and optimize category performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Pricing, Media) to enhance the customer proposition and remove barriers to success.
Requirements
- Strong experience in a commercial, retail, e-commerce, or Marketplace environment with knowledge of Marketplace economics.
- Proven ability to acquire and grow external partnerships and influence senior external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen to balance growth with customer experience and long-term value.
- Experience executing category and joint business plans through cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using CRM or pipeline management tools for forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging audiences at all levels.
