Area Manager - 2nd Shift

Location: US OH Akron ICM Plant 0993; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations for the second shift and supervise 25–30 production associates in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Monitor performance and ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery goals are met.
• Promote plant safety practices and ensure adherence to procedures, audits, and standard work.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to maintain efficient production flow.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions supporting safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Build a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of relevant work experience.
• At least one year of relevant work experience; manufacturing or military experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of safety and quality standards, HR policies, and budget management.
