Operations Supervisor (3rd Shift)

What you will do

• Lead an operations department to deliver operational objectives across safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, and employee morale.
• Drive continuous improvement using kaizen and Lean principles, including daily shop-floor problem solving and eliminating waste.
• Implement and sustain a pull system producing to customer demand using takt time and one-piece-flow.
• Ensure zero defects by identifying root causes of quality issues, partnering with customer service and corporate quality teams, and managing compliance to HMI quality plan and ISO 9000.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery of quality products and maintain a safe working environment aligned with safety training and 5-S principles.
• Manage staffing and development: select and train employees, coach performance, and hold direct labor accountable to standardized work.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of successful supervisory experience in an operations environment, or 4 years of leadership experience directing the work of others with proven results.
• Proficiency in ISO quality systems fundamentals and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to resolve conflict, make appropriate decisions, and communicate effectively (verbal and nonverbal) with professionalism.
• Ability to use office automation/communication software and tools used in the hirify.global office environment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues and drive systemic thinking, integrity, customer orientation, and talent development.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
