Operations Supervisor (3rd Shift)

What you will do

• Lead and manage an assigned operations department to achieve safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, and employee morale objectives.
• Improve manufacturing processes through daily kaizen, waste elimination, standardized work, and shop-floor problem solving.
• Develop a pull system using customer demand, takt time, and one-piece flow.
• Ensure zero-defect performance, investigate root causes, and implement quality solutions with customer service and corporate quality teams.
• Manage safety programs, 5-S implementation, employee training, environmental goals, and compliance with state and federal legislation.
• Determine staffing needs, select and train employees, provide coaching and feedback, and support skills development.

Requirements

• At least four years of successful supervisory experience in an operations environment, or four years of demonstrated leadership experience directing the work of others with proven results.
• Proficiency in ISO quality systems fundamentals and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Effective verbal, nonverbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to resolve team conflicts, identify issues, make decisions, and build effective working relationships.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
