Industrial Engineering (IE) & AI Application Intern (Manufacturing/AI): Analyzing production-line processes, layouts, material flows, workloads, and workstation utilization to improve factory efficiency, with an accent on lean manufacturing and practical shop-floor optimization. Focus on identifying AI use cases, preparing data, supporting proof-of-concept testing, and tracking results in real factory deployments.
Location: On-site in Wuxi, China

What you will do
- Observe production processes and analyze operations, layouts, material flows, workloads, and workstation utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve production-line efficiency and support shop-floor improvement activities.
- Compare performance before and after improvements and verify achieved benefits.
- Identify AI application scenarios based on manufacturing pain points.
- Support AI project promotion, tracking, proof-of-concept testing, data preparation, feedback collection, and results tracking.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or master’s student in Industrial Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production-line operations, and shop-floor improvement.
- Proficiency in applying industrial engineering tools and familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and tools.
- Basic data analysis capability.
- Strong problem-solving capability and a hands-on mindset.
- Interest in using AI tools to improve factory productivity.

- Experience with AI tools and developer skills.
