Industrial Engineering (IE) & AI Application Intern

Location: On-site in Wuxi, China

What you will do

• Observe production processes and analyze operations, layouts, material flows, workloads, and workstation utilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve production-line efficiency and support shop-floor improvement activities.
• Compare performance before and after improvements and verify achieved benefits.
• Identify AI application scenarios based on manufacturing pain points.
• Support AI project promotion, tracking, proof-of-concept testing, data preparation, feedback collection, and results tracking.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or master’s student in Industrial Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production-line operations, and shop-floor improvement.
• Proficiency in applying industrial engineering tools and familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and tools.
• Basic data analysis capability.
• Strong problem-solving capability and a hands-on mindset.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve factory productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools and developer skills.
