Senior Product Test Engineer (RF/MCU): Developing production test solutions for advanced wireless SoCs and MCU products with an accent on ATE hardware and software, silicon characterization, and mixed-signal validation. Focus on analyzing test data, improving yield and test coverage, qualifying complex semiconductor devices, and resolving production issues across silicon, hardware, software, and manufacturing environments.

Location: Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: $102,550–$190,450 USD annual base pay, plus potential annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

  • Develop production test solutions for wireless SoCs and MCU products from design validation through high-volume manufacturing.
  • Design hardware and software for automated test equipment to characterize and validate new devices.
  • Drive silicon characterization, reliability qualification, statistical analysis, and stress-test methodology development.
  • Analyze test data to improve yield, optimize test coverage, reduce manufacturing costs, and resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing teams to support new product introductions.
  • Develop and test mixed-signal devices incorporating RF circuitry, MCUs, embedded Flash, sensors, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, PLLs, and DC-DC converters.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of product test engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience developing production test solutions for mixed-signal, RF, or MCU-based ICs.
  • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne J750 or Teradyne Ultra FLEX.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, Python, assembly language, Perl, Visual Basic, or similar scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of MCU architectures, mixed-signal or RF systems, statistical analysis, yield improvement, and process control.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, data analysis tools such as Minitab or Silicon Dash, and troubleshooting across silicon, hardware, software, and production test environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with embedded Flash technologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction from first silicon through production release.
