What you will do

  • Diagnose and repair automatic and logic-controlled electronic systems at the component level.
  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on RF matchers, generators, complex PCBs, and controllers.
  • Modify sub-components, build or adapt test setups, and conduct post-repair testing and verification.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust advanced diagnostic and measurement instrumentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis of major equipment malfunctions, including high-power DC supplies and AC/DC servo or stepper motors.
  • Document repairs in the internal database and communicate with customers, technicians, management, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics.
  • At least 5 years of bench repair experience, including RF matching units and generators.
  • Strong experience in RF electronics repair, RF theory, AC/DC circuit design, analog and digital electronics, and circuit troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as voltage meters, ESR meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers; knowledge of Smith Charts.
  • Ability to read schematics, understand circuits, perform through-hole, surface-mount, and fine-pitch soldering, and conduct load testing or signal generation.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure repair facility, lift 50+ pounds, and follow electrical, mechanical, and chemical safety protocols.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LabVIEW, MultiSim, Cadence, or equivalent electrical design and simulation software.
  • Knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, JTAG, or other hardware programming technologies.
  • Experience repairing, testing, and calibrating 1kW–80kW high-power DC supplies.
