What you will do

• Diagnose and repair complex automatic and logic-controlled electronic systems at the component level.
• Perform failure analysis and repair of RF equipment, specifically matchers and generators.
• Develop and improvise custom circuits or test setups to support unique repair scenarios.
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis of major equipment malfunctions.
• Operate and adjust advanced diagnostic instrumentation, including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum associates degree in Electronics.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bench repair of Matching units and Generators.
• Strong knowledge of RF theory, analog/digital electronics, and AC/DC circuit design.
• Proficiency in through-hole, surface mount, and fine pitch soldering.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Austin, TX.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Smith Charts and experience with spectrum analyzers.
• Experience in High Power DC supply repair, testing, and calibration (1kW to 80kW).
• Knowledge of AC and DC Servo/Stepper motor rebuild and test.
• Proficiency with Labview, Multi-Sim, Cadence, or hardware programming languages (VHDL, Verilog, JTAG).
