Electronics Technician (RF Communications)

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC, United States

Company

Provides technical support and engineering services for legacy and new communications systems at customer locations.

What you will do

• Assemble, configure, inspect, maintain, and upgrade electronics, communications equipment, and antenna systems.
• Execute test plans for RF and electronic systems and document test results, issues, and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including resolving urgent and high-priority technical issues.
• Support integration of new systems and components into existing infrastructure.
• Work with customers, technicians, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide technical support and communicate project status.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent military experience, plus 5 or more years of relevant technical experience.
• US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance is also required.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronics and systems.
• Experience working with technical requirements and documentation.
• Ability to lift or move 50 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and high-pressure problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with electronics, RF, or communications systems.
• Experience using crimpers, dies, multimeters, presses, connectors, soldering tools, and related electrical equipment.
• Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other RF test equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
